Broder died Wednesday at Capital Hospice in Arlington of complications from diabetes

David S. Broder was an American Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist primarily affiliated withThe Washington Post, author, television talk show pundit, and university lecturer. For half a century, Broder reported on every presidential campaign, beginning with the 1960 Kennedy–Nixon race. President Barack Obama called him the "most respected and incisive political commentator of his generation."
